Sometimes we are so wounded and helpless only God can reach us

The wound was deep,
a jagged tear,
The tender flesh
exposed
to elements
too cruel to bear.

The Great Physician
looked;
A child He
loved
lay bitter,
naked,
cold,
alone,
unwanted,
.....wounded!

Bending low, He
reached.
Warming His child
with His own body,
He held him.

Warm breath
stirred.
Clenched fists
relaxed.
Tightly closed eyes
squinted.
.....Sonlight! 


"Cast thy burden upon the Lord,
and He will sustain thee.
He shall never suffer the righteous
to be moved.
I will trust in Thee." Psalm 56
