1956...He was the neatly dressed boy on the other side of the room in a Study Hall. I looked over at him a lot, but only looked, because one of my best friends had a huge crush on him.
1957...He offered my sister Carol, our friend Chris and me a ride home. After dropping them off, he told me to move closer. I did.
1960...We were married in May

L O V E -- L I G H T
The sparkle of our love
lights shimmering candles in our hearts --
Their warming glow anticipates the dawn.
When chilling breezes stir their flames,
they flicker,
but rise up again,
then blend as one enduring light
that will not fade away
but will endure the storms of life
as LOVE burns brightly on!

and the smoking flax shall He not quench;
He shall bring forth justice in truth."

Simply beautiful and perfectly woven in words and rhyme, it is so
warm and comforting just like the "shimering candles in our hearts"
and stirs hope that love will "endure the storms of life."
