Mr. Farnesworth, have you ever heard Handel's "Messiah"? Viewed Michaelangelo' paintings? Ever heard of "The Painter of Light," Thomas Kincaid, or listened to Ravi Zecharias the brilliant Christian apologist? These are just a few individuals I call to your attention. GOD brings (in some cases, that's past tense--brought) them strength indeed, to scale the heights of art, philosophy and innovation. The ultimate triumph comes when an individual surrenders to Jesus Christ. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
In a "me" world such as we live in today, the individual is all-important. For the followers of Christ, answering the challenges He puts forth to first, love God and second, love others, we walk boldly in His footsteps. His example and His empowering enable us to step out in faith and conquer mountains in His Name.

This poem is really horrible. The original was uplifting and spoke of the triumph of the individual, Connie has stripped it of its positive message leaving only a weak imitation that advocates passivity and a reliance on external forces for success/survival. If everyone went around thinking like this there would be no art, no innovation, only weak people waiting for god to bring them strength.
