If you loved Spock, you'll know. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but there it is. What a geek.
In a dream
I saw it--
the Garden of Remembering--
violet wind, ochre sea
waxy white blossoms exuding
langour in the darkness,
animal flowers that shrink
at my approach, their
glow suddenly extinguished.
We seek new dreams
amid nightfall ruins of the old.
Visions bloom when our eyes meet,
around us rivulets shimmer
a corona of water song.
Fingers reach through
the bone to join the current
within, after all the lost years
reclaiming the ecstasy
of One.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
I love the dreamy images and fanciful language.
Well done. :)
