I Love You

So ashamed

I could have done better,

Knowingly there you lay

Yet I chose to stand at a distance.

It kills me so that all I can see is red

I could have been more,

More than just a change in season

Coming around once a year.

If I have learned anything

It is this; Follow your heart,

Tomorrow is not promised

Treasures sink into the ocean,

And need a map to be reincarnated

Better tell them, "I Love you,"

You never know when they’ll say good-bye
