Acceptance Letter

I heard there’s a vacancy in the sky,

A cloud for one

With halo included, one size fits all

Wings that have been trimmed,

and are pearl white.

A nurse called you,

To schedule a follow up

To discuss your background, and a reference check

Also your experience in flying,

Who knew this was your final interview.

 I heard there’s a sign in the sky,

That supposedly says: “Help Wanted“

Offering compensation, and sign on bonus

Benefits package too,

That assures I am covered as well.

As I noticed you paralyzed in silence,

I knew I'd see your face in the sky

Halo a ’glow, your wings expanded  

A smile on your face,

Holding a copy of your acceptance letter
