To mold such art out of your own suffering - that's the sign of a master. This is a truly fine poem.

Leland, dear heart, I wish nothing bad upon anyone... BUT... there are those who simply must never, ever feel badly, because they are so truly lovely in themselves and so special... that's you! Just behave, do as you're told and get entirely well... don't make me come there and oversee your recovery... ooooooo, god, you don't want that! (grin)

Now then, 4 lines, is it? Brevity? Some would talk my arm off, some would fill a hundred pages... none would accomplish what you did in 4, packed-to-the-rafters-of-my-mind, lines of thoughtful lines. I heard this one speaking. It's so nice to see you. katy xox

You will get over it, Leland...keep thinking positive. It is usually replaced by ANOTHER pain. Growing old shouldn't hurt so damn much.
