This is Joseph Sherman’s format of mea rima. It rhymes ab,de,cf with syllabification of 657, 657. I use the acronym “Abdec F657” to remember the form.

The garden bloomed so bright,

It’s color at height,

Drew flocks of ruby hummer,

Yet also brought deer herd,

Who had the last word,

Now color it a bummer!

Dear Leland,

Thank You for creating and posting this wonderful example of my new form. Damn those deer!

Love & Light always and in all ways,

And here, with no deer and no hummer,
the trumpet vines, oh, bummer...
feed but the bees, this summer! LOL!

Loved your "mea rima", my dearest Leland, and the images you painted - bummer color and all - with it! (Like you, Joseph would root for the hummers... and I'm ambivalent, because I love them, but I love deer, too!)

A summer-colored bunch of {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} with lots and lots of love,
Alexandra*

Here, without deer, flowers just fade in the sun. Hummers run, except the 4-wheel variety on the increase?

"Drew flocks of ruby hummer"

Never had much use for a Hummer, and now GM is discontinuing them...

Oh damn, that is not what you were writing about is it...;) Ed
