I have a very special place I call My altar of My Life It’s a collection of my memories saved in happiness or strife...
I have a very special place I call My altar of My Life It’s a collection of my memories saved in happiness or strife once a child, now a women, a mother, and a wife ( not necessarily in that order ) I have souvenirs of Happy Times, Keepsakes in a row Cherished unpaired earrings and some special little bow I keep favorite photos of my children People, places, things and almost everything I’ve experienced A place for them to sing! I saved a statue of a little boy, whose leaning back in bed I gave it to my Nana in hoping comfort times My Bible and all hold dear letters, with treasured poems of rhyme Hey, I even keep the skeletal spine of a dead ole’ catfish I found it on the beach one day, fishing in the surf Anyway, and by the way, "Have you ever seen one?" I have an old Emu egg balanced on some plastic thing, My nurses cap, just because, next year... I just might need a job A Rolling Stone magazine, and half of a Pink Floyd concert stub and most important of them all, a picture of my mom! There I drape my rosary beads right beside her wedding ring Cause one just never knows... what this life may bring? I’m kneeling on my knees At My Altar of My Life I pray to God, with all my might, One candle casting light I give to Him, my soul, my heart , I’ll thank Him for my every part and trust Him with my whole of life I’ll always keep reminders of... The essence of my altar With everything I love... Can’t compare to what my Lord Has waiting with his Doves I will always keep Him in this place My Altar of My Life My Lord my God, in Him I trust For what He’s doing, what He did and what He’s done for US ! The alter is special place to keep praying and yours is special place for things to be stored and kept safe. Much two the same. I read this and know that God will let you keep those memories forever and forever. This is a very uplifting write to me for some reason I cannot explain it.

Kimmy, this reminds me somewhat of 'Simply Life' in the respect that memories are the most treasured possession we have IMHO. Here you have made an altar of what inspires and is important to you not only of memories but of the here and now and what your future holds in store.
