My sons had a gig in DC
They traveled there unsuspectingly
They got in on the war protest
Saw firsthand the unrest
And the discontent
Not matter of factly
Their eyes are wide unshut
Their hearts unfurled
Songs are probably brewing
About this our controversial world
Listened to Joan Baez singing
Al Sharpton do his thing
And those hundreds of thousands protesting
Will always ring
In their ears for the rest of their lives, I predict
Marine Reservists having already
Done their time
They march daily in deed and spirit,
Taking on life's upward climb
Powerful...I am a veteran. Although I did not go to war, I would have if asked...thank God it didn't come to that. But, hear this: I support the troops and I support my commander in chief. If these protesters don't like it, perhaps they want to become target practice for these insurgents???????????

This is really moving, I have 16 year old daughter who is also
so upset by this protest. If our kids can see the insanity of all this maybe we have our hope of the future with change. Starting with them.
