About eleven years ago
I was driving back
from a monthly meeting
of a writer's support group
and wanted to run
my car off the road.
Why some members
felt they needed to
rip my written words
to pieces like they
were a note from
a lover who dumped them
caused me to feel suicidal.
I had all my eggs
in a writer's basket
and and they were raw,
not hard boiled.
I made it home
that night and decided
I would never let
another person make
me feel that desperate.
I write what I write
and that is good enough for me.
End of thought, period.

Bravo! It is a difficult forum to literally lay ourselves open and sometimes it can be a tough arena. Things can be misread and misjudged. We can place too much importance on other's judgements, ...a writer has no choice but to write what they feel. Well said and a piece I thoroughly enjoyed. Panda :)
We do what we do...Let no one, here on this earth, ever make you feel that way again! We do what we do, and answer only to Him! You have a gift to share, a God-given personality to express it, each of us, in our own unique ways transpires to the ones that understand how we express it...One might think it odd, and others see it through! Who you are and what you write is written just for...who its meant for!

I am inspired I use to feel this way too. I am so glad I do not always comment on your work but I read it. And I am thankful you made it home and that you write and write. many people harm than nuture. Your work is always wonderful...
