My sister, who is legally blind may not see next year, according to her faith. She does not realize how my younger sister and I believe in the power of our God to heal her eyes while she is experiencing many surgical procedures.
She believes this is her last year in the kitchen for the holiday meals. Well,
if it is, I must say it was the best ever.
Full of turkey,
Gobble - gobble.
Full of ham,
oink - oink.
A rack of ribs,
OINK - OINK.
Full of greens;
mac & cheese.
Sweet potatoes & raisins
with marshmellows in
orange peels.
Pumpkin & potatoe pie,
Sherbert
and other dishes and
drinks on the side.
I pray she can cook for Christmas.
My sister and I sure can pray.
God is a prayer answering God.

Well maybe it is God's will for with all that food, you're going to put on too much weight. Get on a diet. With Christmas looming, you need to tone down. Victor

I pray your sister will continue to be able to cook, and most of all, that all of you continue to trust God in His wisdom to give the best answer to your prayers.
You are right my sister...I say a positive amen to that! God is able and he never forsakes his children. I loved your poem, it is the truth. We ate at my sister inlaws today and I will cook tomorrow, so two days of feasting...oooh I see pounds coming as I write. I will pray with you for your sister..my sister is legally blind too, she has been since birth. She has a rare disease that is genetic it skips two generations. She can see in the dark up close very good, but in the daylight she is legally blind. In the house she can see up close, but far away or something small requires a very stong pair of glasses, the great thing is that her eyes have neither gotten worse or better, they have remained the same. So she is blessed in that respect...however I will keep your sister in my prayers. God bless and happy holidays.
