Romantic desires are always with us, no matter where we go, 

But we want to avoid rejection, escape its bitter throe. 

So when we meet that someone special to walk on down the aisle, 

Ferreting out that person's feelings can get to be a trial.

 

Technology now is helping us in filling up the need  

To ascertain a person's heart state, so that we then can heed

Its signs to use them in a way that's beneficial to our person.
Early detection of love's the game or it will only worsen.

 

I know you say you love me, but let me look into your heart
By peering into your esophagus, and that is just the start.
I'll direct some sound waves down. Make sure I've the right tone,
Only then will I believe you love me deep down in your corizón.

 

But regardless of modern technology, privacy still does reign
And this window to our heart will gradually become a pane.
For if one is able to look into our being, into our very hearts,
To know answers before asking is putting horses behind carts.


"You Gotta Have Heart".........or, at least,....so the song goes,
An overwhelming feeling from your head down to your toes.
But verifying that feeling is now done by means electronic,
Wires, meters, woofers and tweeters, heartbeats stereophonic.


Now they have this "window" into which we all can peer,
Matters of the heart (one thinks) will begin to be quite clear.
Soon someone still more clever will cloud the issue and find
How to deceive the window. Can love be Venetian blind?
