Especially for my Mum, Linda. In the hope that people may understand how she feels now my Dad is walking with the Angels.

A rose would not be a rose without its thorns
Nor a sunset without the sun
Taking wild from wild flowers they become weeds
And without you my life felt done.
So I neatly folded away the place in my heart
I saved especially for you
Because now there is no longer a need for it
Since our sharing days are thro’
I just want to pull the curtains closed real tight
And shut out all the world
Letting each day turn to dark and back to day
Without muttering a word
Then I hear your voice inside my own mind
Telling me you had to leave
It was just your time was up so I have to be strong
And dry my tears on my sleeve
For I still have all of our memories to hold
And a life-time still to live
But most importantly of all those things
I still have a lot of love to give.

A very poignant write, filled with such expression. Oh I do understand how your mother and yourself feel. I see the agony of dispair and hopelessness in my own mothers eys.....

Be safe,
