Your thoughts make a negative or positive difference in all you do...

Morning Thoughts

When you woke up this morning
What were you thinking then?
Were you thinking happiness and joy
For a new day about to begin?

Were you groaning with aggravation?
Wanting to go back to bed and sleep
Wishing to block out the coming hours
By counting thousands of useless sheep?

The mood you assume when you first wake
Will follow you like a shadow all day through
The thoughts you choose to put in your head
Will serve to map the outcome of all you do.

So before you go to bed each night
Put a simple note on your bedside stand
An affirmative quote to read when you awake
Laced with hope and faith for your daily plan.

Don’t let life lead you by the woes
But lead it with purpose and drive
Plan your day to make every minute count
Good intentions, goals and resolve
Will make you feel truly alive.

VERY INSPIRING, JEANETTE. AND I DO BELIEVE THAT IT IS WHO, OR WHAT ENCOMPASSES OUR MIND THAT SETS OUR MOOD...THAT GIVES OR TAKES OUR 'PEACE'. I DON'T THINK I HAVE TO TELL YOU WHO MY 'MIND REGULATOR' IS...JESUS NEVER FAILS TO MIRACULOUSLY TAKE ME THROUGH MY DAY. THANK GOD FOR CALVARY! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

The quote by the bedside is an inspiring suggestion - I love it. I think I'll try that. My alarm clock is set for a radio station. Usually the song playing when I wake is stuck in my head all day...so I'm betting your suggestion will work wonders. Thank you for sharing this! Love and Hugs~

A wonderful write my friend, filled with inspiration and wisdom. You give the reader much to think about with these words. I do believe that if we start our day with positive thoughts and prayer before our feet ever touch the floor we can expect to maintain a positive attitude the remainder of the day...outstanding write!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

I really like this one, Jeanette; spot on positive! I always wake up somewhere between blank and a dream state, sometimes humming the words of something which will morph into a poem. Wakefulness happens when I remember the up-coming piece of today's adventure. There is always something to make me grin.

So very true, it all begins with the mood upon waking up and how we chose to develop that mood, just wonderful and so very sincere....

Be always safe,

Couldn't agree more! If we were all more "conscious" and "intentional" about living life joyfully, the world would be a happier place. Well done.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
