River
Life
Goes on
Between two shores
Of our existentialism reality.
To change is to be born.
Breaking free from the shackles
With the bows and arrows of creativity
And never to sell our little soul
Like the dead man walking
Stepping into his many illusions.
Only that voice will have breath
The voice that has the breath of life.
The warmth of love.
The story from the heart.

It is known that spelling can be varied but words are still read for what the reader want them to mean. Which is why you last line would noy be read as you want it to. You could have made them bold and in italics or capital letters. Still interpretatation apart, it's a lovely poem.

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
