do you wanna
know,
know how i found myself,
not in Singapore!
Tell me that,
i was wrongly dreaming,
wagging my tail
with dribbles of synthetic hopes,
listening to you,
you showed us a dumb man's guide
the future of our country,
you said you gonna transform
our country into Singapore,
where people will be safe and happy
and the country clean and glittering!
with modernity and prosperity!
I just want peace!
not Singapore.
I am sad to see darkness around me
i am angry to feel the tensions,fights
and heartless killings among each other
where violence is the fad of the day
and democracy a silly game
the chairfriendly leaders play.
Don't bake us no country,my lord!
don't make us no fool anymore.
But do tell me,
i was not at all dreaming
or, going insane hallucinating,
to find myself in my own country.
