From somewhere the sound came It was silent and loomed the fears. He got nipped by the words he had heard Woof! Woof! the dogs barricaded his road. He left his vests and underwear And he forgot all about the chill and the heat. Impatiently when drunk An earthen pot is earth Vapors mere water. He was on the pavement only yesterday Life! a burning lamp. They said, 'don't give up' He is counting the stars in the night. Impatiently when drunk Copyright 2008 Roshan Tulachan
