The three of us took off our shoes and socks
And sat ourselves down on the mossy covered rocks
To dangle our toes in the cold, sparkling water
Enjoying precious time between mother and daughters
The water trickles down from our mountaintop
It starts just above us and down the lake it stops
My youngest, warm and restless, took off her clothes to get cool
and sat in the middle of where the biggest waterfall creates a small pool
I thought about how happy I am with having them so near
I smiled as I remembered that perhaps one of them may have been conceived here.
