                   The drum beats louder.....

Oh dear Lord please share your wisdom,
we need you now more than ever before.
Such uncertainty, cataclysmic by design,
spreading far and wide from shore to shore.

           The drum beats louder.....

Watching over this precious flock,
another page in history begins to form.
The clashing of titans walking a path,
as heaven and earth ignite in storm.

           The drum beats louder.....

Your shining light, your gift to all,
fades through time with each generation.
You gave of yourself, died for our sins,
without malice for future congregation.

           The drum beats louder.....

Mayhem and disruption is everywhere,
the drum beats louder with each passing day.
Faith grows stronger, but resilience wanes,
uncertain of what is coming this way.

           The drum beats louder.....

Why have we turned to look the other way,
forfeiting God and country, denying all?
Many fought and gave of their lives,
for this land of freedom hear the call.

           The drum beats louder.....

Our way of life is about to differ,
from all who worked hard to set us free.
Is this prophecy coming to pass,
or lack of prayer in honor of thee.

           The drum beats louder.....

Nostradamus has spun his web,
pen to paper, his predictions told.
Now we are helpless, we see the signs,
the final chapter now to unfold.

           The drum beats louder.....

Oh dear Lord please share your wisdom,
we need you now more than ever before.
Such uncertainty, cataclysmic by design,
spreading far and wide from shore to shore.

"The Drum Beats Louder" I feel your love and concern for this world in this poem. Your children may be grown; mine is 14, but we are both worried for their future.
michael was always talking about the undoing of this world by unscrupulous and evil people. He also had very high hopes for the future...so do I! Take care/ Give care.

Such a deeply moving truth that not many dare to see! Sometimes I feel I see too much and have to block some of it out and pray for it all to have a possitive outcome.

I agree, Karen; the signs are all there. And a lot of us want change, but it's still not happening. I feel like I'm waiting for a shoe to drop. Any day now. This piece is perfect for spreading awareness. Excellent write. Hugs,
Sheila

The Lord told us not to go near the edge of the abyss, because if we fell by curiosity, we couldn't blame Him for our stupidity.
We were warned by a loving Father.

Spot on Karen! When a society decides it doesn't need God the Creator of all things, that society is doomed to fail.

I like the idea of you bringing into your writing Nostradamus. He did predict the end of the world. Although the Myans did also. As always Karen everything you write is very informative.

GOD BLESS YOU

Hope and our prayers will lead them to doom. Great poetry and another wake up call for all Americans.

Karen, our faith must remain strong -- there are relatively small numbers of humankind that are currently posing a global threat to humanity and our God given right to the basic freedoms -- we shall overcome their designs to make our nation and the world their slaves and deny us the right to freely express our Christian beliefs -- may peace and love be always with you my dear friend -- Jon Michael
