Bag Lady Angel

Always remember, you might be talking to an angel!

Poem Artwork
Bag Lady Angel

See these hands, many years,
A lovely woman that knew no fear.
Each day's awakening, mercy's street,
Steps out in faith, trust's, and greets.
Her traveled road a tapestry,
The lines grace skin, hands, and feet.
Played and danced a road well traveled,
She never judged others with a gavel.
Her love of life it still lives on,
Till one day her journey gone.
To tell the stories of memories past,
She shared with all upon her path.
Eyes conveyed, stories born,
Vivid pictures painted, a sounding horn.
The map well traveled ages gone,
Are like the street traveled on.
A stepping stone supported shared,
To people here and everywhere.
A grafted vine her road, I bow,
Amazing memories a mind to taut.
Her smile and laugh, each day this street,
An angel entertains those she meets.

Nice poetic story. I bet it's true. If it is, this lady is NOT poor. She is RICHY blessed by God because of her heart for others.

Peace, love and multiple blessings,

Yes for one to "steps out in faith, trust and greets" Is just a great way to live and to share with others! A well done job, Teresa!

Wonderful thoughts about a wonderful person. I hope she really existed.

I had thoughts of the woman, a Vietnamese émigré, all hunched over with age, who I saw walking the streets many mornings for over twenty years on my way to work pushing her shopping cart filled with aluminum cans. I know she lived in the area with relatively nice homes. I have the feeling that she paid for her home and her childrens' educations through college with those cans she picked up every day.

I don't know about angels, but I think people like her should be treated with more respect. Much more respect.

Beautiful. So oft' the wise are disguised. Not to stop and make friends with the likes is wisdom lost. In this culture of falseness.
