I heard you breathe as if your were going to knock -- but you sighed and kept walking.
I would let you in if you would only ask.
It would be so wonderful to share my thoughts with you.
I keep waiting. Should I open the door first?
I heard your footsteps outside my door again today.
There was a cool breeze blowing the soft scent of your flesh to me.
I made no move to let you in, hoping you would be the one to open the door.

But then, as a thousand times before, you walked on.
