Colors are what's inside my Crayola and paint box

My views on race, color, class. I long for a world where there is no distinction, but a world that is ruled with love and honor.

You judge me if I’m black or white;

You judge me if I’m wrong or right.

You look at me as if I weren’t there;

You see what you want, do I really care?

But it does hurt to see the pain inside;

When colors are judged, not just the painting kind.

Instead of seeing me for who I am;

You judge me through your eyes that have been filled and crammed;

With hatred, dishonesty and abuse;

Hearts filled the destruction and filtered views.

It’s time to move past what you believe;

And see me for me, not preconceive,

Who you think I am and who I should to be;

Because Crayon’s are colors not what makes me.

A very angry poem - let's just keep encouraging the world to see us all as we really are inside.
