Whispers of the Wind

by D. Enise — Read all 64 poems by D. Enise

On The West Wind Blows.....

Voices of the heart,,

Soft quiet Whispers..

Gently reaching out.

They never fail to reach me,

Quiet songs, a serenade.

And each time, I am touched.

I smile, deep with in..

They whisper words of lonely

Sometimes words of love

There are words that inspire,

Or words from vanished friends

They find me when I need them

In this vast and lonely land

They surround, and give me comfort,

With the music of their song

As I step into the darkness,

the stillness of the night

To hear the west wind sing.

The soft and gentle voice.

I look up, towards heaven

I slowly close my eyes,

I listen for the whispers,

And embrace it's serenade.

The musical whispers fill me,

Heart ,body,mind and soul.

All things set right for the moment

In Lyrical enchanting sounds.

I hear the west winds song.

The soft gentle voices,

I become one with the Wind.

And sing with it's chorus

On The West Wind Blows.....

Voices of the heart,,

Soft quiet Whispers..

Gently reaching out.

Help! Chris, I need your muse!!

The ending on this bothered me, so I have changed and added to the last 2 stanza's.

Here is the "first" write version.

*************

They find me when I need them

In this vast and lonely land

They surround, and fill my heart,

With the music of their song

I walk outside, into the night

To hear the west wind sing.

The soft gentle voices,

That Whisper on the wind.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Take time out, listen to the wind.
Smell the flowers, The Rain...
Watch children play on a swing
or better yet..
Go Get on one to! *S*
Beautiful expression, penned perfect as far as my humble eyes, but my vision will capture the beauty you strive to seek in it also. Excellent from my perspective.
This poem touched me so and the music is so beautiful that I worked all night makng this into a song titled "Whispering Winds." I did my best but a song is never finished and maybe Jen can look at it and make it stronger for us. The music entranced me and I played it over and over to try and get the feelling in my soul and to capture the essence and heart of Jen inside her words. I pray that I achieved at least partially my objective. This lady poet has captured my heart with her work. May she achieve the highest pinnacle of success and become recognized for her wonderful talents. In tears I remain Bill
... just an old soldier of life.
I hear the west winds song.
The soft gentle voices,
I become one with the Wind.
And sing with it's chorus
Chords of serenity
fill the air around me
harmony of life
subdues a gentle soul
your poetry places me
on a cloud of tranquility
