Vision

If Someone was blind,
And so wished to see,
The beautiful sunset
laid out before me...
If Someone was blind
and asked me to explain
What colors "were"
And what did they mean....
I'd gently reach out,
Take their hand into mine
I'll show you the rainbow
And without refrain,
I'll show you the colors
That splash through the sky
The reflections of light
that shimmer and shine,
I'll show you the hues,
Soft Tones, in the shadows
I'll show the shades
Of wild flowered meadows..
Within the rainbow
Translucent beginning
Through to the Center
The Bold and the Glory
We'll follow from there
pastels, faded end
What colors feel like
And what they can mean.
The Gold of the Sun
The gray of skies Stormy
Deep blues of the oceans
Pastels from the sky,
I'll show you bright white
Of gleaming new snow
The softness of clouds
of white that's toned down
I'll show you the greens,
The reds, and the yellows
The mixes & blends
that cover the spectrum
You ask me, in wonder
With what could I paint
These vision of color
for a man without sight..
I answer, softly
still holding your hand,
a brush is not needed
nor pencils or pens
~*~
The colors we see,
painted so bright
The brush is your heart
The canvas is life...

As long as our hearts remain open,
we have vision
We can always find our way back to the light
Should we fall into shadows~
~ Within our hearts lie, a full Spectrum of rainbows.
