The Sun, has set and I look up over the valley...
I see the shadow of the tree tops, that blend with the sky...
The stars are coming out over my head, as so the coming
of the night begins... I am told to come to this place, to
be with myself. The night is quiet...a vision of a grey Wolf
appears to me, he is looking at me like he knew my soul...and
then vanished.
I hear their songs now, their cry of the moon...they are telling
their stories to each other, of how they are no longer alone.
Where forest once was, is now gone...I also hear them call out
to the wind, hopping that it would carry to their mates on their
long lonely journeys. I feel there spirit within me...
The crickets have begun to sing their songs as well, songs that begin
to put me in a trance...peacefulness becomes of me...
A flash of a young boy, and, then an old man...
statues of human faces made of stone, a beautiful lady in a white
gown...one moment I'm holding her, kissing her, the next I'm
burying her...I see a man that has gone to war, and next, he is
being born. More stone figures, some of men, some of women...even
of children...A lady holding her child, next she is crying out
in the wild...! Then I see eyes of an old man, glazed by tears
and beautiful bright eyes, with comfort...these I have seen
for year's, then I'm in a meadow of green grass, young...next
on top of a cliff as an old man...then I'm holding this old
woman's hand...
I then awake from this, looking out over the land...
The Sun, no longer bears it soul, but the Moon, has welcomed me
with it's warm glow...
I still hear many, singing their songs in this night...I feel
they are a part of me, as I'm a part of them...many speak of
a warm light...
Who were all those faces...? I feel that they were of me...!
Thru all my many journeys, my lives...times...
I am becoming of, myself...I am becoming...I...
Those are my songs of the night, my stories...
My soul...speaks...of the night...
We never know who we realy are, until we
truly look within...

Thoroughly mesmerizing - I have had similar events while sleeping... felt only some empathetic connection to the myriad of faces that swept into view...no interpretation...but it leaves a feeling of immense well-being.
Good reflections, Gilles. That 'who am I or who was I' question is something I usually avoid. I agree...the dark of the night, the warmth of the moon, may hold answers and yet, I think they may also deceive.
