That I could see
into my very innermost
fire of being,
the inward vision,
through the inside
eyes of my soul,
where my true creativity lies
emanating from the essence
of purest bright white light
from the very Creator Himself,
pulsating with the heat
of all that is,
all that I could create
through what I was
meant to be,
that I could hold
that Word made manifest
that has to hold me,
that I could know,
that I could truly know,
but I must be content
with the flare
around the rim
that I call inspiration, divination,
that which rolls out of my heart
in surprising completion,
when I am at my best,
yes, be content,
lest it burn away this shell
before its appointed time.
