An Escher Graphic

He wove his wily way into her thoughts
Capturing her brain cells

Causing her to see only his image
As he raped her mind

The full  fancy of his furtive imagination
Seeped into her cerebrum

Every iota of brain waves began to pulse
At his pace

As his intentions continued he began to
Usurp her memories

Leaving only those that were of him, he
chose the favorable ones

Her body began to hum in synche with
His rhythms

Romantic ideas started filling her mind
Causing uncanny sensations

She couldn't identify what she was feeling
As if her body was making love to itself

Soon they were in the throes of feverish passion
But only her brain new it

Her body lay still as it had lost the cells that
Told it what to do

He realized he had messed up somwhere
Frantically trying to retrace and repair

She lay there totally paralyzed with only thoughts
Of him in her brain...as usual

Nothing had really changed for her

Eileen, this is so compelling and yet also so disturbing. I wonder if I don't have this malaise because my thoughts are completely absorbed by the love in my life. The only difference being that my whole body is involved in it. ;-) Great write!

Now, this is an eerie one. I think lobe does that--blocks out all logic--separates the mind from the body. When it is mutual it is heavenly, when one-sided, hell.

uh huh ... somethin' like this happened to me. I am fascinated by your insight into human personality based on these Escher graphics, Eileen. when any of us attempts to carve out someone or make them in our own image, we wind up feeling hollowed out, having created a monster. think I'll save my comments for becoming the monster for a good poem as my brain is empty of all else at present.
