The beauty of life surrounds me
When you come to mind, it's hard to find
Any place that does not contain your face
You are like an Eagle whose wings I'm under
The contentment  it gives is heaven sent

Like the glorious sun that shines on everyone
you shine for me warming all  my anatomy
When you are on my mind
There are no  negatives only positives
I relish each thought, hording them like gold
Because to me they  will never grow old

You are my knight in shining armor
And though it may sound trite
Without you I feel deprived of light
Even if all we did was to share our thoughts
I would remain elated, for with you I feel sated
I get lost in your eyes that so mesmerize
I am content to live in them forever
I want nothing more than to be
surrounded by and surrendered to you

Penned as only Eileen can pen. Lots of depth and even deeper meanings. You have a Merry Christmas.

True love. Happiness. Bliss. Nothing quite like it on this old earth. Good.

Such precious and serene thoughts are delicately expressed here.

This is a beautiful way to express the way you feel toward someone. I don't mean to get mushy, but it describes how I feel about my husband. Thank you for this lovely offering, Eileen. xxxoooo

So many I have known have shunned intimacy. I can't recall anything else so eloquent as love. Love is a magnetic thing that makes us unfold and expand just by being present in "their" radius and absorbing the ultra-violet rays, and "they" grow within us and bring us to life. We have to have a trained eye and mature vision. The real motives of love, according to the Christian religion are said to be gratitude and contrition, which I'm sure most of possess, Eileen.

Hi Eileen -- Yes, I'm still around, but caught up in writing other
forms quite a bit, these days. This is gently beautiful. I once
held a particular man's smile in my heart this way. It was like a
vision and carried with it a feeling that never ceases to bring me
peace. Love Vicky

Releasing ourselves of any fears and allowing ourselves to completely trust where love is concerned, is a wonderful experience as long as it is mutual, but those feelings coming from only one side spell heartbreak in the 1st Degree. Excellent romantic and consuming write. Absolutely beautiful poetry, Eileen.
Take care,
Sherry

This poem is a fresh breath of tranquility and acceptance -- so rarely found. I really liked it, Eileen.
