Poem Artwork

Caught in the fog of
confusion wondering is
it all an illusion

The lavender haze imbues
the eyes like a glaze, as it
makes me wonder if a
spell I'm under

It fades into the mist
like a whispery kiss of
an affair that wasn't
there~

Almost as if the bed was
covered with ethereal
figures that had fled
into the purple prose
of the dead~

Foggy figures reach out
for me ,but its only the
branches of trees ,that
make me weak in the
knees~

Thou didst flee my love
so silent, you stole away
like a serpent, leaving no
trail that anyone could
tail~

The dappled grey dew of
you saturates the cloudy
day, leaving damp wishes
to play with empty words
along the way~

~etw~

To me, this speaks of someone close who has died. It just doesn't seem real, you can't get to that person and it is pure panic. So beautifully expressed and very sad.

Yup it is eerily haunting. Yet still with a intangible beauty.

Such sad memoirs, with such brilliance of words.
The imagery in this is amazing Eileen. It's almost as though one could reach out and touch it.

Eileen,
Sad and painful but an excellent write. That picture is eerily beautiful.

Dear Eileen,
I'm sorry I haven't been reviewing your work. My reviews have been sporadic at best. My only excuse has been the limited time I've had to spend online. It's great to read you again though because your writing is always an inspiration to me. This poem speaks to me of longing and pain - something I've experienced at those times when I'm apart from Edwin. Fortunately, I know that the times we spend apart are temporary. If this poem is written from personal experience, it sounds to me like you don't have that same hope. I pray that this changes.
Take care
Chanti

Oh truly divine--->I have been to that lavender Sapphic graveyard! I am practicing celibacy right now because of it. My heart sings to her that Bon Jovi song--->Shot Through The Heart, but I have since found nature's honed little pieces of quartz arrowheads, knowing that when I have found elf-shot, I have redirected life's course and connected with the fairy world and found the divine sparkle of the lavender life in the simplicity of sharp, pointy quartz! You could resurrect the awesome photo--->it blows me away--->into an inspired vampire write, Eileen.

Excellent with wonderful images. Last stanza truly rocked..."dappled grey dew"...what a great visual that is!

Jerry sums it all up below Eileen perfectly !
This is exquisitely done with the touch of a Rennaisance Master, deft touches of deep emotion and longing pour over on to the page
in delicious form
You have a way with words master craftswoman !

Great visuals and better premise I could not ask for. Lost loves, whether real or make believe, always bring out the sad laments from us poets and forlorn souls.

Eileen,

You are a wonder and a talent to be reckoned with. Extremely powerul and heartrending poem, as only you can create. Marvelous, Eileen, simply stunning! Take a bow!! BRAVA!!
