Sometimes the Dream is Real

Sometimes you wake up to find the dream is real, a state of confusion follows, because the dream so vivid stays with you.

It becomes real at breakfast when you read a letter that comes saying he was sorry he had to leave you, but it was the only way.

Soon after  your best girfriend calls says only one sentence while sobbing , then hangs up, you know it isn't only a dream, but a nightmare.

Functioning like a zombie, you finally sit in a state of disbelief and anguish, to retrace your dream to see what happened.

You recall that you dreamed them together in bed making wild love, then the surrealistic scene fades into the three of you in your swimming pool playing like dolphins. A flash of other scenes of the three of you, such happy friends...

As the dream fades and your thoughts go back over the past weeks and months searching for answers, you see so many that you hadn't noticed before.

Sometimes you wake up to find the dream is real ,but that it had died when you weren't looking...

Sometimes I wonder, does dreaming become the reality...or does reality become the dream? Loved your poem Eileen! love and peace...

sometimes they certainly are... real. sometimes, they are borne to life on a wave of pain; other times, they come like a refreshing splash of joy. dreams and intuition exist for a reason, I think. while I'm certainly hoping this isn't a real dream that turns out to be a real event in your life, I am glad for this poem which reminds us to heed the message in our dreams and allow our dreams to speak -- but never to surrender our powers of real-time observation in favor of a hasty interpretation. that's what I'm taking away, anyway. Dream are wonderful... ...and meaningful, Eileen. That's what I get from your poem; and quite a lot more too. Thank you. Love and peace,

What bothers me, is that some don't seem to have dreams anymore. There is nothing they want enough to put their heart and hand fully to it. A dream will get you out of bed in the morning in so that you can start living the dream.

An ambiguous ending, was it real or was it . . . a dream only. Sounded real to me. whatever, it was well done, with true unbelievably that the dream wasn't a dream coursing throughout. Oh, thanks, Eileen, septcouplet DOES fire me up. Can't explain it any better than that.

Rarely remember my dreams but the ones I do sure seem so real that when I awaken I say damn it, to find it was all a dream.

Very sad, but very interesting, too, Tiger Lily. I find that many of my dreams are somehow real, but many definitely are not - and I always wonder why.

We should always hold on to our dreams, and write them down for future interpretation and inspection.
ESP, Extra Sensory Perception also works through our dreams like a figment of remote viewing !, we ignore our dreams at our own peril !
Fascinating and intriguing composition Eileen !
