What a beautiful poem ET! I have never seen transparent butterflies before today and I am really fascinated by these pictures.

Absolutely beautiful! Both poem and photos. Love butterflies for the reasons you express and because allthough their lives are very short(2 days average)they live it in joy. When they mate, their dance in the air is like a ballet. Shortly after my father's death, my family went to his small farm on the river to tend his vineyard. A butterfly landed on my daughter's shoulder and stayed their for what must have been 3 minutes. Very unusual as they don't light for long.

The wings of the small butterfly are transparent. It is the window of the world today. We need to step through, look at ourselve from their perpective, and change the selfishness in which we ALL live.

I hoped I would find a poem here on your pages to go with these beautiful pictures. I think that the transparent wings are a mutation? Perhaps the colored powder didn't form? It is interesting how we see this as beautiful but rarely see differences among our fellow humans in the same light. There are lessons to be learned, indeed, Eileen and your wonderful words are a sweet reminder of this to all of us.
