Bleeding into the blank sky
Dissolving  yesterdays stars
Whatever is left is vacant
Heart has said farewell
Nothing left to bleed with
Veins and arteries on empty
No oxygen, love finally dies
Together  with all the lies
Hell sounds the bells bong
Severed is the souls song

Only true poetic magic could transform such a sense of utter despair as expressed in BLEEDING into a small soft nova of alluring intensity. The triumph here, for this reader, is in the beauty that surfaces out of the ashes of a love that supposedly has died. A classic write.

Chilling, so stark in imagery and verse...very effective writing, Eileen. Original, as well...the relation of soul to sky and stars touches on the premise of love's wonders...

I hope you decide to play among the stars.

Gina

"Bleeding into the blank sky/Dissolving yesterday's stars". This is a powerfully painful and plaintive line. Those same stars that shone so brightly with hope and new love now are now dulled by heartache and betrayal. Oh can I feel this write to my soul. Hope this is not personal. If so, we bleed with you Eileen. A prayer for healing and a new song...Lin

Sometimes you just have to wait until it is truly dead to bury it and move on. It hits us like a lightning bolt out of nowhere and makes us wonder why it took us so long to see the reality of the situation.
Take care,
Sherry

When the soul's song is severed, it truly is a most painful time; and this is one painful, powerful poem, Tiger Lily.

I hope you are alright...:)
Nobody is ever worth that amount of pain !
And if he is a habitual liar, you are better off without him...;)

So dark, so heavy, almost deeply depressing. Now we have to find another more happier one from you. We hope it does not reflect the way you feel, just in case, we do it like Karla, keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Birgit and Roger

Dear Eileen
"...No oxygen,love finally dies
Together with all the lies.."
No worthy air, and lies, are certainly the ingredients to allow love to die. Thankfully, 'true' love doesn't die, but is reborn continually!
Let us find this true love post haste! Powerful write!
