Let the balance set you free...

The gift of ideas can only be born
When  of creation one will not scorn

A balanced mind can co-create
What Creator did originate

Taking full credit boasting with pride
Only shows the immaturity inside

Almost all we do on our own
Was learned by what we were shown

If we have gifts that seem to rise above
It is only because we've learned well to love

For it is love that overcomes obstacles
While hate blinds us to all principles

On my porch rail a chickadee serenades
Look for Creator's joy in all He made

My feathered friend lets me watch it sing
Then looks me in the eye before taking wing

Both bird and I live in loving harmony
Because we share God's gift of creativity

I choose to balance all that  I perceive
Against the proven precepts of Creator's creed
