Arising from my chair my pen falls off my lap on the floor a ray of sun embraces it in golden glow as I pick it up I feel energy
My brain cogitating, if I write immediately will the poem I have been working on turn into a shining gem
I quickly pen a few words to see behold a rainbow of colors clothe words of sheer beauty In a bouquet of floral fantasy
Snow white petals of a Gardenia Proudly displays its glamour While the scent attracts attention A blood red Rose in all its glory Seductively tells another story Allowing its attar of perfume to mix To rival Gardenia's usual fix The stately Orchid of lavender variety Emits a gentle but telling notoriety It gives a haughty glance to its lessers While the orange flame of a Tiger Lily Transcends them all but, loves to be silly It is friend to blue Iris in proud display Making this floral rainbow a divine bouquet As I finish writing my pen disappears Was this nought but a dream, I ask my peers?
I think poems are a breeze of joy and love coming from the vast ocean of wisdom. Once you happen to be in the coast you certainly breathe the fresh salty air which will give you an eternal stimulation. Deep and profound poem. GBQ
A little whimsey, a little enchantment, a lot of skill, beauty and grace. This is a gardener's poem if one was ever written. You should submit this to "Birds and Blooms," "Better Homes and Gardens," "Organic Gardening" or some other garden lover's magazine. Wonderful poem!

You were/are among friends, and I can completely understand how you feel, especially since I have just finished reading Mary Lynn Plaisance's "Cajun Fairies In the Land of Sha Bebe." What a wonderful surprise. This poem has the same mystical quality about it and very well constructed, but then, we have come to expect that from you.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
