4th day fever hanging on, darn lupus! almost time to leave;-)
In the twilight of purple passion While soaring with the clouds Heaven opened and out flowed The night in black velvet With it I Cascaded down into The river of lavish dreams Where the sun was a scarlet orb The moon dressed in violet The stars in golden hues White orchids floated in air Silver violets tangled in my hair I was wrapped in new bronzed skin Saints and angels were my kin The light of beauty resplendent Glorious songs of joy and jubilation The entire environment transcendent
How did I miss this?! What a wonderful mood you create with these beautiful, vivid images. I have such a feeling of re-birth with this truly captivating poem Eileen. Wonderfully refreshing ty. Love Panda :)
"Saints and angels were my kin" ... and still are loving Eileen!! May you be at your best post-haste, but accept each moment reassured that 'it will change. Impermanence really is a good and freeing thing! :-D Glorious poem!

Sis...this is a beauty of a write. You and I always find beauty in nature or levity to counter our pain. It works for me too. You keep searching the heavens and your pain will subside. My prayers are with you.
Love,
Susan
Wishing there was some way for the cloud to be lifted on your vacation. I have had times in my life experience where i came down with the darndest bug. Some sort of little illness that just laid me out for the briefest time. having experienced this a handful of times scattered throughout my lifetime, i could only conclude that maybe the lord wanted to put me out of commision for a day, so that i wouldn't wander off and get into real trouble.
For every one whom the Lord recieveth, the Lord loveth like a son. And every one whom the Lord loveth, he shall chasten and scourageth. For what is a son without Chastenine or scouraging
'sides that, i wonder if the elevation of Tahoe might be the source of your woes.

I wish i could dream like that and transcend the stark reality of this world, or to be more precise the world that the humans know. take care Eileen...

Eileen, I am so sorry that lupus is doing its darndest to ruin your holiday. Scanning your recent work, seems it has taken you there and back again, but good to see you in the ascendent and Transcendent here. I don't envy you the downside of this ferris wheel... and you know I have also been there... but this beneficient vision is soothing, healing and a pure taste of heaven in the here and now. This is sooooo cool and silky smooth... I pray that such may truly bring rest to your fevered brow, calm those jangling nerve-ends and strengthen the feeling of aching, brittle bones. Praying for the joy that renews and restores. LOL Kate xx

Sorry, still the time away was good. This poem is good. You are good. "I was wrapped in new bronzed skin," yes, indeed.
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
