Wordsworth ushered  romantic age in late 17th C
Was first Poet Laureate of England
Nature was the main part of his mastery
He "Wandered Lonely As A Cloud"
And his "Prelude " is a treasured memory ... 1779-1850

Coleridge was his pal and together they  wrote
The book"Lyrical Ballads" the world took note
Though Samuel had arthritis and loved his opium
With poems like "Kubla Khan" he was forgiven
He lived in and out of a haze 62 yrs 1772-1834

Lord Byron born with a club foot was sensitive
His poem "Don Juan" romantic, with heavy sarcasm
Was anti-romantic  as some women mocked his foot
Had an incestuous affair with half/ sister, like other
Poets went to live in more liberal Italy...1788-1824

Keats, was the most deeply intense and romantic
Loved delving into sensations and language
His "Ode to a Grecian Urn" a favorite of many
He sensed he would die young so wrote about it
He was the youngest to die aged 26-1795-18-26

Shelly the most radical showed it in "Queen Mab"
He was a voice of liberty, but romantic too
"Ode To The West Wind" One of my favorite poems
He wrote many Elegies and one for his friend Byron
He too lived hard and died young...1792-1822
