Sorry friends I'm only allowed 2 fifteen minute segments at the computer.

Lying in the lap of
lucid dreams I see
your face crumble
into pieces of clay
I watch as if under
a spell and wonder if
i'm in heaven or hell
but soon I can tell
a shadow tried to steal
all the good I feel

With eyes open wide
nothing from me hides
i'm a see all spirit
in a shadowy place
that falls midway
twixt sin and grace
it's no surprise I
get caught at times
visiting the realms
rife with crimes

Evanescent entities abound
midst my area of sound
eerie music stirs my senses
lessening my defences
i have overcoming power
I won't let them devour
but my desires on fire
my dual nature aspires
I don my moral mask
now i'm up to the task

We run rampant through life
in happiness and strife
it is inherent in us to learn
as spirits lift, fall, and turn
ever evolving into finality
of one day when we shall see
the very highest epitome
of what creator deems we be
your face of clay will then resemble
the perfect one He has assembled

2 fifteen minute segments? WOW chum! I would probably just stay off the doggone thing. Can't accomplish much in that amount of time. Your write is wisdom filled, the kind that comes from experience and struggle. Stand strong dear heart, you are loved!

(((Eileen))),

That's worse than the hour time limit per day on our local library's computer!! (Have 18 minutes left.) Powerfully penned, you did this in 15 minutes???????? Gad. You, my dear, are quite the talent in showing us God's blessings in the midst of sickness or trial. Well done!

well, here's something to keep in mind. I truly believe your willingness to use even a part of your 15-minute stints to post this kind of incredible human poetry that helps us all know more of ourselves and more of God will be returned to you as blessings magnified. here you have articulated something so familiar to me in a way so fresh and in a manner that puts the focus where it should be, on God's redeeming grace and higher purpose for our lives. love and healing, Dawn

It's a daily battle
That for me it's fought minute by minute
Quite honestly written with such a line as
"I don my moral mask
Now I'm up to the task."
And close it appropriately in the last two lines.
Which are extraordinary!

This is well written, beautiful and inspiring, Eileen...only two 15 minute stints at the computer??? I couldn't even get my banking done in that amount of time, let alone all my e-mail...and posting poetry, that would be impossible. I hope you regain more strength so that you can do more of the things you enjoy during your days.
Take care,
Sherry

15 minutes...2X?
You should be suffering withdrawal!

Aside from that...lovely work.

My favorite lines "...We run rampant through life
in happiness and strife
it is inherent in us to learn
as spirits lift, fall, and turn
ever evolving into finality..."

Says it all.
