I have such an imagination
My mind is never lazy
While my body does gyrations
My thoughts are going crazy

I see colors circling all around
Some look like flashing neon
Quickly my senses come unbound
I'm penning my words in freon

Don't talk to me about neurosis
I've been to manic and back
Nothing wrong with my diagnosis
I'm a poet that won't slack

I see much maniacal magic
That not too many can see
Not one to worry about  logic
When lightning strikes my fancy

I've visited  realms that are tragic
That are rife with peccancy
I've also seen many angelic
That know how to show mercy

The poets that are my peers
Much more gifted than I
Encourage me with comments
Lift my spirits to the sky

I can't find words to express
How much they mean to me
However this I can confess
To me they are the real poetry

Your skill is unique, you stimulate the mind and that is such a quality. The rhyme and meter is great and I love the line '...when lightening strikes my fancy...'. I flew with that. Lovely message, Lady Minx expressed beautifully as ever. Love and hugs, Imp ;)

A true poet my friend, all is poetry through the eyes of a poet at heart. We use all of our senses to bring it to life for the reader as well as ourself, full of emotions, values, stories, morals, entertainment and so much more...write on my friend!
Blessings,

Ah, another day
Another verse
A poet sends a rhyme out into the universe
For you Eileen, may it never reverse
But inspire and move us to new heights.

Everything in our lives is a type of poetry, but those who love us and encourage are indeed poetic music. A most enlightened write, Eileen, I am glad to know that your mind is sharp despite your physical difficulties.
Take care,
Sherry

An amazing poem, Eileen -- you've expressed so many lovely thoughts and I especially loved these lines,
"...Don't talk to me about neurosis
I've been to manic and back ..."
This is the type of writing I've come to expect from you and which I so enjoy.
Love,
CJ

You are so kind and only a good poet can be so humble. Your poetry is always a stimulation to my mind which struggles putting simple words together.
