A piercing scream
inside a dream
that was heard in kind
in someone  elses mind
like an echo that
one can't find

Where did it come from
where did it go
how will we find it
will we ever know

Unsolved mysteries
twirling in my brain
like a musical tune
with just one refrain
like the hiccoughs
you try to scare away
but it just continues
to play and play

Is that all life is
routine and repetition
is there another definition
the whole human race
is spinning in space
and the day will come
when there won't be a trace

Just like the scream
inside a dream that
was heard in someone
elses mind, like an echo
that one can't find

etw~

I often wonder about that myself. And then I find something different; the answers are out there.

Whew! Sounds like a fever-dream, Eileen, where everything spins and nothing really makes sense. Creative penning.
Take care,

The more one digs into the meaning of your poetry the deeper he needs to go further. It is a tunnel filled with the light of knowledge and wisdom. As usual this is a masterpiece! God Bless You queen

When I read this poem, I thought! Our minds think alike. I often wonder if the day will come, "there won't be a trace." To hear the screams in a dream of anothers mind. A true awakening. Great work here, this write!

Yikes, reminds me of a recurring nightmare I get, or when you wake up from a nightmare think phew it was just a bad dream, only to go back to the same dream.
Haunting and as good as always..

have you read Dean Radin's "Entangled Minds"?
lately i've been dreaming of a woman singing at her piano...nice but haunting...enjoyed this thought provoking piece

super poeming Eileen, those dreams are something else. My wife started telling me I pissed her off in a dream. I told her she's always doing something in my dreams. I've been ignoring the negative dreams for years, I only concentrate on the good ones
