trying to sleep mind wandering
I notice a shaft of moonlight
from window above my bed
it is reflected in dresser mirror
on wall at foot of bed

I'm mesmerized by the mirror
showing shadows in various forms
I feel as if something infiltrates me
a gust of wind through the window
makes me shiver as I feel myself

being pulled through the window
by some motivational force like
the moon that changes the tides
and though I'm still in bed I can see
myself in the mirror by the moon

I have black silken wings which
seem to be controlled by the moon
or is there someone or thing working
me like a puppet on a string,I sense
a masculine presence,but can see no one

then I surrender to the sensation of total
weightlessness as I soar higher into the sky
in an orbit around the moon,hearing the
beautiful chanting of  unseen voices,and
one whispers, "Sleep now,all is well!"
