Dedicated to Ed Kostro;-)
Last november I moved in the same apartment complex from the second floor to a first floor apt on the next street. Two weeks after I moved I was rushed to the hospital, and was there over a month,and couldn't walk for almost 3 months. This poem is based on fact. Before I moved I had a stray cat visit me almost every day and a lot of times, sleep on my porch. Some days she would eat, others not,but always sat with me on the porch especially when I watched the sunsets, she became a pal, I called her stray.The man that rented my apt, said a cat had come there a few times,probably looking for me, and ran away when he tried to approach.I told all my neighbors if they ever saw stray to let me know .I can't believe it's been 8 months since I've seen stray,I keep thinking about her a bit every day
I pray that she is fine and being cared for
ps Sorry my note was confusing, I wrote it before stray came back;-). She's with me now most of the time. Thanks for all of your comments they are so uplifting! I do believe she's an angel;-)

Sometimes I wonder about all of the changes in life that we are supposed to accept stoically with calm,but it isn't easy to do so
Funny how Ed Kostro comes to mind when I think of animals, especially cats,I thought of him now
and his poem about cats,as I sat outside waiting for another sunset
No sooner did I think of him than i saw a cat coming towards me,no it isn't possible,it can't be! But it was, stray!!! Oh what a grand reunion it was!
I had been feeling sick having lots of pain and very down,so I think Creator took pity and sent stray back to comfort me
She surely lifted my spirits, and eased my pain I believe that there is a reason for everything, so I'm giving thanks for this gift whatever the reason
The medical profession realizes that animals can help people cope better with their illness and now uses them in many ways
I don't know who owns stray if anyone, she comes and goes as she pleases, but never fails to show when I need her for companionship, she sits on my lap and we discuss Master's miraculous
sky paintings,and we are filled with joy...

i feel i do...
i think this is a beautiful piece.
i dont like cats or animals at all really... mostly coz they always try to eat me but what i like about this piece is
a) the idea that cats KNOW when a person needs them. it is so true... theyre so intouch with human need and emotion...
b) ive decided your stray cat must be the same one out of breakfast at tiffanys or at very least a distant cousin... [i dont know if youve seen that movie but in it she has this cat that is simply called "cat" coz they dont belong to each other they just met up by the river one day...
at the end of the story she throws cat out of a taxi and then runs back to the alley to find him...
stray cats fascinate me [even though they scare me lol]

Angels are not always as we imagine them to be
its what our Creator says we need that He sends
Our way and animals cat dogs they always sense
When you need them the most,I'm glad Stray is back!!

Tiger Lily, what a marvelous tale! I just got home, and when I clicked into AD, I saw this - and I am thrilled to hear that you and Stray have found each other once more!
As you know, I also love dogs, but I think there is truly something mystical and magical about felines, as if they truly do have some sort of innate sixth sense, and know when we need them the most.
Your Stray sounds like a marvelous creature. And I truly hope that you and Stray can spend many more hours together watching those magnificent sunsets. I believe that many angels walk amongst us, and that many of them do have fur.

I am sorry you havent been well, but pray you are doing ok.
My little doggy Duchess, is a Godsend to me....They always know when we are about to take a turn, or are unwell...Bless you for this, and I know Ed would love it also.

No one really "owns" a cat. Cats own people. The fact this one chose you is because you needed her and she chose to comfort you.
