Poem Artwork

Lying here on my deck
absorbng the sun's rays
listening to Dove's coo
I'm at peace with the day

As hours gently pass by
I lose myself in daydreams
of me in the iridescent sky
riding on backs of sunbeams

Soon it is twilight time
Dove's coo replaced by Crows
sunless skies recant its rhyme
with days death knell mortal thoughts grow

...well written words of birds and dreams...the doves to day...and to night the dreams...crows nest of darkness...again wishes for sun.
I very much like your poetry here Eileen...

Ohh, I'm glad I stopped by for this one. I happen to love crows, those dark, grumpy messengers from below.

I love to hear the birds early in the morning.
But I don't like hearing crows at my door.
Where there is one, there is always more.
I think I got your metaphor!!

Listening to Dove's Coo is always a marvelous way to spend the day. And those crows know many things.

ET, wonder anytime if Noah of the Ark carried a umbrella? forty days and forty nights of rain kind of shot to pieces any other perspective he could had entertain! ! !
And, if instead of a dove carrying that laurel twig it was one of your crows? what then today?
Just asking...

The light of day contrasted by the darkness of night, each offering its own sense of how we perceive life's movement. I can't help but feel both hope and despair. I am glad I sleep at night and don't have to think so much about my mortality.

God bless you. Kathy

I love the coo of doves... one of my favorite sounds in all the world! The last two places we lived we had mourning doves who nested in our back yard...we are hoping that we will have them at our new house as well...just trying to get that home built!
