Eileen, you certainly are the type of person who appears to me that will keep pushing onward regardless of the trials & tribulations that you face in life and you will never give up. As I read your writings, I can feel the faith and hope in everyone of them. I also sense a strength of courage and wisdom. A great write.

Life's roads have so many
twists and turns we never know
what we're getting ourselves
into~but we go on nevertheless

"I felt like I was walking
through a wall of taffy"
Now that is descriptive indeed.
A good poem that reminds me, for some reason, (probably some of the imagery) of something the Beatles did.
"Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmelade skies"

You must be a hill-walker, Eileen... My husband is tireless, but I confess that, when the going gets tough, I just have to look at my feet and keep putting one foot in front of the other... THEN I am overjoyed when eventually I look up and can take in a new and higher view! :)) Yes, there is no such thing as standing still... if we don't progress we regress. Truth indeed. We sleep at night, wake up in the morning, face a new day and I say to God each morning, Thank you, I am alive. Lead me through this day and give me the things you want me to have and guide me to do your will. Can't ask for more than that except for unrealistic things I do not need anyway. I reach toward heaven all day and ponder God's earth and workings often throughout the day.
