Poem Artwork

I'm aloft on a mission of mystery

as magical moons gravitate to me

I sway to rhythm of the universe

as my mind charts a course to find

inception of imagery in a poets verse

a colorama appears, as my poetic ear

detects the rhyme to use, to match the hues

in lyrical shades of crimson, the words dance

and so begins the torrid romance, between

color and word, which makes the finest music

ever heard, as the couple spins in 4/4 time

word and color become a tango divine, while

the beauty of nature elevates emotions

sunsets in orange glow radiate devotion

they arouse the passion words delight in

the indigo night brings poem to conclusion

Marvelous evocation of color through out. You move this from the black and white page to the rainbow of the mind. Bravo!

Sitting there with a picnic basket between, just at edge of that land tongue feeling like bein dragged by the moon down into the sea.
You wrote this one delicately, like a hummingbird visiting the last flowers of Autumn with a goodbye kiss.
