Poem Artwork

I hear the thunder of mighty men in
the galaxy of contention

I see the swarms like locusts flying
madly in each others faces

Animals of all kinds in unprecedented
numbers are readying for stampede

Crimson colors are replacing the cerulean
sky as hordes of birds fly

Prodigious  prophets, shouting incessantly
no one is listening

The storm is approaching, wind gusts are picking up,becoming a gale

Earthlings doing the usual, ignoring all problems hoping they will go away

Having become inured to the constant threats that  never materialized

Though some still have the ashes of 9/11 in their nostrils and can't forget

The air is rife with the scent of sorrow as if there is no tomorrow...

Unstop your ears, say prayers, there are celestial
communities that care,  a Creator who is prepared!

two songs from the past are immediately recalled with relevance, in my opinion, to your poem -- "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" and "One Tin Soldier" --"Where have all the soldiers gone, long time ago - they've gone to graveyards everyone - when will they ever learn" - "there won't be any trumpets blowing come the judgement day -on the bloody morning after, one tin soldier walks away" - both prophetic pieces -- peace to you and love for your compassionate views -- JMW

a powerful apocalyptic message ... i like the possibilities inscribed into the last couplet, concerned with "celestial communities" ...

Nice work...the world, as the galaxy moves on even when tragedy strikes. We as human as we are have a spiritual need to sort through the turmoil and find our Creator...

nice...

you say it fearlessly and very well, a mission statement for our times...if we're wise enough to listen and act.

And the deserts shall turn green and mankind shall not anywhere be seen. NO one listened to Noah either did they? The monkeys make a great picture and I know the meaning, but it should be man sitting there! Love your words of wisdom and your poetic touch/
