Rumaging through the
Encyclopaedia of pain
Seeking an antidote

Exploring my mind
For  the answer
Seeking to overcome

Importuning Creator
For relief or healing
Seeking a miracle

As I continue a quest
To alleviate pain
Seeking is a constant

Realizing that I spend
Most of my time
Seeking something

I seek to find out why
Now I have my mind
On something other than pain

Seeking, is that all we do?

 Reviews of "Seeking"

Hello ET Waldron,
Those who know and are sure of what they seek often find it, while those who refuse to admit that "they are seeking" fail to see the answers.
But there's a place in our hearts, that only the Presence of God can fill...and finding Him (or having been found BY Him) is the best answer of all. God doesn't play hide and seek - for He promised: "You will seek Me, and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you...." (Jeremiah 29:13-14)
Your poem is about pain, questions, and seeking, God is the answer.
The question? Our life and what we live for.

Great poem and style,
Cynthia

the answer to the question you pose in closing, is most obviously, yes - as mere men with so many frailties, we are capable of little else without divine intervention -- peace and love you my dear friend -- JMW

i am afraid that there is entirely too much truth to this--it does seem thst once we find, we go on to seek something new--thought provoking write

seeking leads to finding so we begin to seek again ... eventually, we can do both at the same time ...

Seek and ye shall find
To heal troubled mind
And if you are bold
You'll find your own soul . . .

The things we seek may seem elusive, but we still seek. Answers we may never know continue to haunt our thoughts. Georg is right in one sense, but some of the answers we seek are not to be revealed to us on this earthly plane of existence. Continue to folow the path of the seeker, Grasshopper.

Yes, we all seek answers. I can understand your thoughts very well I believe. I, too, suffer with cronic pain and constantly ask myself why, even while knowing that I am truly blessed by our Lord and Creator. Hang in there my friend; wonderful times lie ahead for us in Eternity. Be well and God bless.
