content in the cradle
wrapped in soft cotton

all through childhood
knowing only fine chambray

until

coming of age
              sashaying in silk

long lissome legs
                noticed in nylon

then the first kiss and being
carressed by satin

embraced in the satiny
smooth sheets of satisfaction

until

reaching the final years of being

once again

content in the cradle
wrapped in soft cotton

I like this metaphor -- though you certainly are not old enough to have personally experienced this cycle -- peace and love to you -- JMW

Like the circle of life, this poem comes full circle with its message. I like how you show different fabrics along the journey. The fabrics of life, perhaps? lol. Great piece. You've created short but vivid flashes of imagery with this format.
