You are poetry to me
I'm enchanted by your verse
All I ever want to be
Is near you in the universe

When I read the words you write
My heart swells with love
Your poems always bring to light
Cosmic truths from above

Enchanted by the imagery you use
I study your every phrase
Intrigued by the mastery of your muse
Deserving of every praise

You are worthy of the name Bard
Wordsmith suits you fine
Over your work I would stand guard
I'd gladly protect your mind

No matter what the genre you shine
You're a living poem for sure
The mold was broken of your design
You are unique, poetically pure

In eons ahead your work will still be read
The universe will know your fame
Everyone ponders what you had in your head
The multitudes will celebrate your name

Happy St Patricks Day to all!;-)

you have created another marvelous blend of poetic beauty with a refresher in mythology for those of us,(myself at least), more than a bit rusty on our Greek history -- you are so creative and adept at performing a task that difficult -- I love your work Eileen -- peace and love to you -- Jon Michael

What a poem, a real Gem here. Hmmm that word, lemme see, I know where I heard that recently. They finished off that movie with Jude and Johnny in his place. I hated the synopsis, I don't think I will watch another movie in that genre any time soon, but that word sure did stick :)
Loved this
Hugzzz and missed yah

Lil'sis, don't go "Parnassus" with yah brothers, we ain't no hillbillies, we even have a capt'n on a leakin' boat and a weird one looking for headless ghost in faraway caverns. If Ma catches you saying that word...she gonna wash yer mouth with warm lute!

Edvard the Impervious Elder

PS: Impervious = not a Parnassus! ! !

Beautiful sentiment.
Could be a loving birthday card! (-:
And yes ...
Parnassus (clever you) was a mountain from Greek Mythology and was located in central Greece where the Muses of music and poetry lived. In modern times it is refered to as 'Mount Liakoura'.

This is delighfully constructed chum and reverberates with the contrapuntal orchestrations of a talented heart filled with love and gratefulness. (-:
