The windswept landscape heard my plea

It returned my terrible thoughts to me

I wouldn't want anyone else to see

How my mind had tarnished  beauty

A foul mood had becalmed my soul

My good thoughts fell into a hole

I have no desire to retrieve them

I'm more in a mood to contemn

I want to put the world in a jar

Shake  it up then cast it afar

Trade it for a brand new star

One without misery hate and war

Change earths ashes for celestial dust

A new blueprint for love that's a must

To start with goodness we can trust

Leave out power greed and lust

If we can start with honesty as a base

Perhaps the world can wear a happy face

etw

Eileen,
Inspiration in every line, truly uplifting, a prayer shared and said for all of us and for the planet we inhabit. This has great warmth and soul.

Love the exercise you give my mind with new words at least to me they are but the poem stands on its own merits in the message it implants in each mind that reads it. bravo

In this new computer age, the 'blueprint' for anything is all but gone by the wayside. It's now PDF or DXF or DWG files. Picture are JPG. I could go on and on. Not to take away from your poem, I loved it. "If WE can start. . . .Perhaps the world. . . . ."

I see you're still upset about the "Dalmation syndrome" thing, but changing the world would still be a wonderful thing and making it in your likeness would be better...e & R

Fantastic write, Eileen! "Trade it for a brand new star". Wouldn't that be wonderful? "...tarnished soul"? No, a sensitive soul who can't close her eyes, who would "Change earth's ashes for celestial dust". Beautiful lines and meaning in this incredible poem...(Amen)
